Leggings will continue to be popular into the fall season. However, you should stick to leggings that come to the ankle. Avoid leggings that stop mid-calf and especially those that cut you off at the knee. Leggings are a great way to make your shorter dresses wearable through fall as demonstrated by Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Because they are form fitting, they also look great with big sweaters and billow tops.
If you don’t have leggings yet, I’ve found a few worth trying. Express has a pair for $24.50 and they come in 10 different colors, including the neon pink shown below…an unexpectedly popular color for fall. For a touch of the ’80s, get American Apparel’s pair for $32 in sea blue (below), black, slate or deep pink.
