Stars are embracing this trend in every way; from dresses and tops to shoes and handbags. The fabulous thing about a color trend is that you can follow it regardless of your budget. I’ve found a ton of great options for getting jewel tones into your closet and all are under $100!

Megan Fox and Eva Mendes have both worn amethyst dresses. Not all of us need red carpet worthy attire, but this dress from Nordstrom could be worn to work or out on a date. It’s on sale for $69.90 and is still available in every size! Kohl’s has an amethyst crocodile pattern handbag on sale for only $27.60! This blouse from Ann Taylor is a bit pricey at $75, but so cute! AND they have a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer right now.

If green is your color, you aren’t the only one! Emerald has appealed to Katherine Heigel and Eva Longoria Parker. Endless.com has these sweet t-strap Maryjane’s on sale for a mere $29.90. For another option, try this emerald dress from Max Studio on sale for $88. Or get this awesome tote from Alloy for $36.90!

Bib necklaces became popular earlier this year. But it seems that this trend will continue into the fall. These types of necklaces are definitely statement pieces, which can sometimes be challenging when figuring out what to wear with them. Whenever you wear a statement piece, you want to avoid combining that with other statement pieces because it may end up looking costume-ish. Now, how do you wear something like this without over-doing it? Keep other accessories and patterns subtle. The best necklines for this are strapless, halter, scoop or even a plunging v-neck. These necklaces can be worn with dresses or tops, depending on the occasion.

If you don’t already own a bib necklace or can’t get enough of them, I’ve found a few options for under $60. Anthropologie has some great bib necklaces, but most are close to $200. However, they do have this colorful (and less dramatic) version for only $48. Kohl’s has an great vintage looking option on sale for $18.76! Another one is this navy piece from CUSP is a gorgeous statement for $55.

Most celebrities, such as Amy Adams, Eva Mendes and Jessica Alba, have opted to go the strapless dress route. Add some color to your favorite LBD, like this one from Forever 21 for $24.80, by pairing it with Anthropologie’s necklace. Give a casual outfit a bit more flare by wearing Kohl’s vintage bib with this strapless honey colored top from Charlotte Russe for $14.99. Darken up a light dress like New York & Co.’s heather gray strapless (only $29.97!) by adding CUSP’s navy blue piece.

A scoop neckline is another great option for the bib necklace, whether it’s cut low or high. Try a bright colored tee ($6.50 from Wet Seal) with Anthropologie’s necklace. A plunging neckline is a fabulous way to show off a large necklace. Try this cumin top from Victoria’s Secret on sale for only $9.99 with Kohl’s vintage version. The halter neckline allows you to cover the straps and neckline with a bib necklace a la Drew Barrymore. Doing this can take a plain, inexpensive halter to another level. Place the CUSP necklace on top of La Made’s pink halter on sale for $25 and you have a whole new look!

Leggings will continue to be popular into the fall season. However, you should stick to leggings that come to the ankle. Avoid leggings that stop mid-calf and especially those that cut you off at the knee. Leggings are a great way to make your shorter dresses wearable through fall as demonstrated by Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Because they are form fitting, they also look great with big sweaters and billow tops.

If you don’t have leggings yet, I’ve found a few worth trying. Express has a pair for $24.50 and they come in 10 different colors, including the neon pink shown below…an unexpectedly popular color for fall. For a touch of the ’80s, get American Apparel’s pair for $32 in sea blue (below), black, slate or deep pink. Liquid latex has been seen on Nicky Hilton, Miley Cyrus, the Olsen twins, Rihanna…and the list goes on. Try Liquid Leggings from Victoria’s Secret for a similar look at only $42.50.

My favorite look for leggings is a tunic button-down shirt. I found three options of button-downs that would great with leggings under $50. Blake Lively went with a white pintucked shirt. The one below is from Express for $49.50. Another option for the same price is a brown check tunic with a waist tie from Ann Taylor Loft. For only $19.99, Macy’s has a black and white plaid option that also ties at the waist.

Another great option is a big comfy sweater (as seen on Megan Fox and Victoria Beckham), which is going to be popular this fall. I love this dolman sweater from Arden B. for $48 show here in black, but also available in oatmeal and wine. Victoria’s Secret’s $58 turtleneck sweater has a unique buckle accent and comes in slate heather (below), black, urban blue heather and burgundy heather. I also found a shorter sleeved version in a great purple color from Urban Outfitters for $58.

Billowy tops are another great way to wear leggings. This look has been seen on celebrities, such as Nicole Richie, Lauren Conrad and Mena Suvari. If you don’t already have one, I found a few options for under . Forever21 has a cute top for only $27.80. For something a bit warmer, try a light knit the one below from Urban Outfitters shown in black and also available in red and gray. To make the last $48 option more fall-friendly, pair it with a long cardigan or a cropped leather jacket.

Nicole Richie launched her maternity line this summer, which further proves that you don’t have to lose your style merely because you’re pregnant. Although the clothes are not outrageously priced, not all of us have even that kind of budget for maternity clothes. That doesn’t mean you don’t have options! I’ve taken a few items from Nicole Richie’s “a pea in the pod” maternity line and found some low budget alternatives that’ll keep you cute through your pregnancy.

To make the most of your wardrobe, go for pieces that you can mix and match and use for multiple purposes. Items like maxi dresses, trousers and dressy tops can be used in a variety of ways for a variety of occasions. Check out a couple budget friendly options for all of these pieces compared to a selection from a a pea in the pod, Nicole Richie’s line.

a pea in the pod has a few cute maxi dresses. One of those is shown below at priced at $148. But Target also has come great options, like the black maxi for $42.99 with thick supportive straps. Gap has an adorable brown paisley maxi on sale for $59.99 (shown below) or get a muted version of the paisley print in blue for only $34.99.

For a cute top to go out in, a pea in the pod has an abundance including the dark blue one shown below for $78. Khols has a lot of adorable tops for fantastic prices, like this pleated top in berry (below) and in black on sale for $18. Even stores like Nordstrom & Gap, which tend to cost a bit more, have great options if you keep an eye on their sale section. The top below is also available in white and on sale for only $16.99 at Gap.

Trousers worn with a t-shirt can be a casual option. With a dressy top, they are perfect for work or going out. A pea in the pod has a pair in dark gray plaid for $68. Motherhood Maternity has a lot of reasonably priced maternity clothes, including the tweed pair below for $34.98. The last pair is from Old Navy and has an adjustable waistband. They are twill and available in the gray (below) as well as khaki and black.

Fringe has also been seen on bags, shoes and even accessories recently. Rihanna has been seen wearing boots with fringe and even fringe inspired necklaces. Stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Mary-Kate Olsen have been seen with fringe purses. While Mischa Barton likes her fringe on her vests, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba get their fix in the footwear department. All of these are available for reasonable prices if you know where to look.

I found a ton of great jewelry that is fringe inspired. Shopbop.com has quite a few options, including the fringe bracelet for $168 (the picture doesn’t do it justice) and the turquoise earrings for $72. Nine West has a $110 necklace with multi-colored beads that has a fringe look to it.

I’m not totally sold on the fringe footwear thing. But I like Steve Madden’s take on the trend on sale for $71.47 at endless.com. Free people has a lot of mocassin options, both short or tall. I could see their short style for $138 being cute with a pair of close fitting jeans or a casual jersey dress in a solid color. A fun alternative is Mystique’s multi-color beaded sandal, which could be paired with a pair of shorts and a bright solid top.

Another option for fringe is your handbag. A lot of stars have been carrying bags with fringe, particularly JJ Winters’ version which will run you upwards of $400. But this style is available in everything from a clutch to a hobo and for a lot less money. For the bold ones, Charlotte Russe has something similar to the JJ Winters’ style (minus the long shoulder strap…among other things) in hot pink for $22.99. Express is selling a great clutch in genuine suede (sorry, PETA!) for $59.50. Another suede option is on sale at Urban Outfitters for $59.99.
