They have a textured portion, an adjustable buckle and a pointy toe. Celebrities like Chloe Sevigny, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles and Mischa Barton have all been seen in booties.

I’d wear this pair with a skirt with volume, tights and a blazer. The skirt I found is from Forever 21 for only $17.80. The tights are $16 from Topshop.

Brass buttons, epaulettes and double-breasting scream military and you can find a variety of pieces inspired by this look. Celebrities like Isla Fisher, Mischa Barton, Beyonce, Victoria Beckham and Chloe Sevigny have been seen in military-inspired looks.

Since they can often encompass a lot military details without it looking overkill, jackets and coats are great for military styles. If you want a bold colored coat, the military details should be subtle. Fred Flare’s bright red coat has a flattering a-line cut and costs $72. I love the Express take on the military coat, shown below in heather gray and also available in pitch black, for $79.50. To militarize your bottom half, purchase a skirt or leggings with military details. This adorable pencil skirt is only $22.99 at Charlotte Russe! Anthropologie is a personal favorite of mine and they have a red brigadier skirt for $78. Macy’s has a pair of leggings for $38 with button snaps.

For a touch of military style, I’ve found a few accessories for under $80. Juicy Couture has a cute military hat for $55 available in beet (shown below), black and gray. These sexy brown boots are at DSW and on sale for $74.95. The fingerless gloves from Free People are available in red, black, gray and eggplant (shown below) and cost $28.

It’s almost a new season and a new opportunity to shop! Fall trends abound in shoes, clothing and accessories. Shoes like multi-strap shoes, oxfords and over-the-knee boots are likely to be popular this fall. This may make some cringe, but the 80’s are back and remaining through fall. Leather is being used frequently on runways is also going to be a hot trend. 2ax4pynbim

If multi-strap shoes intrigue you, there are many styles to choose from. Check out these options I’ve found for under $180. I adore Steve Madden and the shoes below are no exception! They come in purple (shown below), black and grey suede. Or go for a boot with a twist from Jeffrey Campbell. Aldo makes a great shoe and they have these white strappy sandals on sale for $69.98.

Leather is going to be big this fall. An obvious option is a leather jacket. I really love Diesel’s…and I love it even more at 70% off! You can try this trend in a pencil skirt, such as the $250 one from Martin + Osa, and pair it with a blouse. Or make a statement with a leather dress. Alice + Olivia makes a cute color block leather dress on sale for $264.

Oxfords are already being seen on stars, such as Sienna Miller, Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham (to name a few). Flat or heeled, you will definitely be seeing oxfords well into fall. If you love Anthropologie as much as me, you should check out their oxfords. The one shown below puts a feminine twist on the menswear style and costs $178. Or go with a more traditional style a la Sienna Miller like Steve Madden’s Tuxedo Oxford. It comes in grey (shown below), black, cognac or black and white. If you like height, there are many oxford pumps available including the $156.95 option from Endless.com.

The 80’s – Whether you love it or hate it, it seems like it is here to stay…at least for another season. Neon colors will continue to be a trend into fall. If you aren’t sick of it yet, try it in bright red cable knit for half price at Pink Mascara. If you are looking for a different way to embrace the trend, think Disco. Fergie, Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson and Lauren Conrad are all embracing this trend, whether its through sparkling dresses or sequined heels. Try Topshop’s Tall Cosmic Sequin Dress for $170. Another option that will probably be more wearable for most is the over-the-knee boot. Now, I’m not talking Pretty Woman here. Over-the-knee boots have a different look for fall. I love these $108 boots from Free People because the top folds over allowing them to sit under the knew as well.

Fringe has also been seen on bags, shoes and even accessories recently. Rihanna has been seen wearing boots with fringe and even fringe inspired necklaces. Stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Mary-Kate Olsen have been seen with fringe purses. While Mischa Barton likes her fringe on her vests, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba get their fix in the footwear department. All of these are available for reasonable prices if you know where to look.

I found a ton of great jewelry that is fringe inspired. Shopbop.com has quite a few options, including the fringe bracelet for $168 (the picture doesn’t do it justice) and the turquoise earrings for $72. Nine West has a $110 necklace with multi-colored beads that has a fringe look to it.

I’m not totally sold on the fringe footwear thing. But I like Steve Madden’s take on the trend on sale for $71.47 at endless.com. Free people has a lot of mocassin options, both short or tall. I could see their short style for $138 being cute with a pair of close fitting jeans or a casual jersey dress in a solid color. A fun alternative is Mystique’s multi-color beaded sandal, which could be paired with a pair of shorts and a bright solid top.

Another option for fringe is your handbag. A lot of stars have been carrying bags with fringe, particularly JJ Winters’ version which will run you upwards of $400. But this style is available in everything from a clutch to a hobo and for a lot less money. For the bold ones, Charlotte Russe has something similar to the JJ Winters’ style (minus the long shoulder strap…among other things) in hot pink for $22.99. Express is selling a great clutch in genuine suede (sorry, PETA!) for $59.50. Another suede option is on sale at Urban Outfitters for $59.99.
