Blue is hot right now, but not in all shades. The focus seems to be on a deep, dark hue. This color looks good on blondes, like January Jones and Claire Danes and brunettes, like Michelle Monaghan and Victoria Beckham.
It is difficult to find dresses in this color for a low price, but I did my best. The first is a wool dress with button details for $168 from Anthropologie. The next is a silk shirt dress from Bebe is $119. And the least expensive is on sale for $90 from Dillard’s.

Multiple celebrities have been spotted rocking the oxfords since late this sumer and the style is likely to continue through the fall. The main thing to consider when deciding what to wear with oxfords is the fact that you want to show them off.
Pairing oxfords with a simple top and jeans is quite common. Sienna Miller and Sarah Jessica Parker have both gone this route. To ensure your jeans don’t cover the shoes, go for skinny jeans ($34.50 from Old Navy), cropped jeans or a rolled up boyfriend style as seen on Rosario Dawson. To keep the top simple, wear your favorite solid color t-shirt ($34.50 from Ann Taylor) or a solid knit sweater (On sale at Victoria’s Secret for $49!). If you don’t want to look overly preppy, avoid heavy knits and v-necks.

Leggings will continue to be popular into the fall season. However, you should stick to leggings that come to the ankle. Avoid leggings that stop mid-calf and especially those that cut you off at the knee. Leggings are a great way to make your shorter dresses wearable through fall as demonstrated by Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Because they are form fitting, they also look great with big sweaters and billow tops.
If you don’t have leggings yet, I’ve found a few worth trying. Express has a pair for $24.50 and they come in 10 different colors, including the neon pink shown below…an unexpectedly popular color for fall. For a touch of the ’80s, get American Apparel’s pair for $32 in sea blue (below), black, slate or deep pink. Liquid latex has been seen on Nicky Hilton, Miley Cyrus, the Olsen twins, Rihanna…and the list goes on. Try Liquid Leggings from Victoria’s Secret for a similar look at only $42.50.
